Mac OSX 10.4.9 ...

Jetzt mal eine vielleicht naive Frage : glaubst du , daß es so kurz vor 10.5
noch ein so großes update geben wird ?

 

Klar! Denn wer kauft sich schon 10.5 solange die Deppen nicht einmal bewiesen haben, dass sie wenigstens 10.4 halbwegs unter Kontrolle bringen können. :teufel:

 

Wenn ich an OS 9 und das häufige sich aufhängen, einfrieren oder abstürtzen denke ... dann ist das jetzige 10.4.8 aber schon genial stabil dagegen...

 

10.4.9 ist in Arbeit und mein 10.4.8 ist sogar sehr stabil, so wie alle 10.4-Versionen, die ich hatte (und ich hatte sie alle).

Jeder Mac- Kritiker sollte als Pflicht regelmässig Ausflüge in die Windowswelt machen müssen... )

Selbstverständlich. Die letzten drei Wochen wurde je eine Testversion von 10.4.9 an Entwickler verteilt. Die aktuelle Version 10.4.9. 8P2122 ist 164.4 MB (Intel) und 70.3 MB (PPC) fett. Und "so kurz vor"? Hallo wach? Bis Juni sinds noch 5 Monate. Da ist noch Zeit für 10.4.10 und 10.4.11

und ich dachte historisch gesehen kommt nach 10.4.9.....10.5....wie man sich irren kann^^.

ähm...solche irrwirtzigen Versionsnummern hatten wir doch zuletzt bei OS 6.x.xx, oder?....heisst dass jetzt "back-to-the-roots" und ich muss meinen alten SE/30 entstauben ???

 

Historisch gesehen kommt nach der 9 die 10, aber lassen wir das.

Das wäre ja auch wirklich grausam, wenn sich OS X mit einem System aus dem letzten Jahrhundert vergleichen ließe. Dann vergleich doch gleich OS X mit Win 3.11.

Nein, mir geht's auch nicht um Abstürze (ich erwarte prinzipiell, dass ein Rechner heutzutage nicht mehr abstürzt), mir geht es um die ewige Liste an Fehlern, die Apple einfach nicht behebt.

 

Danke für den Tipp, obrand. Wir haben 3 Windows-Rechner in unserem Haushalt. Darum ärgere ich mich ja so, dass auf Windows Fehler in 3 Monaten behoben werden, die bei Apple seit 3 Jahren nicht korrigiert werden. :augenring
